Las Vidas De Marie

Official Selection – Ventana Sur, co-organized by INCAA and the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes. This project has made its way into major festivals thanks to its deep narrative and powerful artistic direction.

I collaborated with piragna animation team as Music Composer and Sound Designer, creating the melodic themes, mixing and mastering the show, and shaping its overall sonic identity. I was responsible for re-arranging vocal choirs, writing harmonic progressions for strings and brass, enriching the percussion, and crafting all of the original sound design that brings the world of the story to life.

Las vidas de Marie tells the storie of Eloise, an 18th century witch who currently lives isolated in the depths of a forest as a potion book writer in the company of her cat Marie and the 7 souls of the lives she has already lost. Due to a failure in one of the potions, Marie loses her eighth life and Eloise decides to make Marie’s last life eternal. So after 200 years of isolation, in the 21st century, Eloise will have to venture on a journey through a reality completely different from the one she left behind, but that in the company of a cat and magic, they will become anecdotes worthy of being told.
